Cleaning Your Favourite Mug with Bar Keepers Friend

Anticipation of a hot, soothing drink is easily dashed when faced with a stained mug!

Now we are well into the winter months, your favourite mug may be looking a bit worse for wear. Whether it's hot chocolate, coffee or tea that has stained your beloved mug/mugs, Bar Keepers Friend is here to help.

Note: Bar Keepers Friend products are not recommended on silverware, gold leaf or porous surfaces.

Always test in a small area first and follow instructions on the packaging.

Step 1: Squirt a small amount of Soft Cleanser into the mug.

For Tougher Stains

What you'll need:
- Bar Keepers Friend Powder (General Cleanser or Cookware Cleanser)
- Light-grade pad or Scrub Daddy

Instructions:
Step 1: Rinse the mug under the tap.

Step 2: Apply Bar Keepers Friend powder into the mug and make a paste.

Step 3: Spread around the inside of the mug, focusing on the heavily stained areas.

Step 4: Leave on for up to one minute.

Step 5: Scrub! (I find Scrub Daddy works best for this, as the eyes provide grip for your fingers).

Step 6: Rinse off, making sure to remove all excess residue.

Step 7: Dry with a soft cloth or towel.
