While we love answering your questions, we wanted to show you where best to use our products. This time let's look at the Soft Cleanser.
IMPORTANT NOTE: This is a step down from the powdered cleanser but is still a very tough cleaner, so always, ALWAYS test on a small area first before committing to anything larger. Wipe or rinse thoroughly after use and follow the instructions on the product cover.
Stainless Steel
Whether it's the kitchen bench, BBQ hood, or stainless steel pots and pans, the Soft Cleanser is great for those slightly tougher stains. Remember to test on a small area first.
Instructions:
Step 1: Grab a non-scratch pad/sponge (we recommend a light-grade pad or Scrub Daddy).
Step 2: Wet your pad or sponge with water.
Step 3: Apply a good amount the cream cleanser directly to the cleaning surface, or to the pad or sponge.
Step 4: Work in a circular motion over a small area at a time, until you see the soap scum remove from the stainless steel. The product is formulated to soften and lift stains and using a non-scratch cleaning pad will ensure there is no damage to the surface.
Step 5: Rinse thoroughly with water or a clean damp cloth. Then dry with a clean cloth or towel.
Porcelain & Ceramic
Bar Keepers Friend Soft Cleanser is great on traditional porcelain and ceramic. Many toilets and basins are porcelain, meaning this is a must have for around the home!
For general and lighter stains you may want to try the MORE Spray & Foam before stepping up to the Soft Cleanser.
Instructions:
Step 1: Apply a generous amount of Soft Cleanser directly to the surface.
Step 2: Using a light-grade non-scratch pad or Scrub Daddy for best results, clean in a circular motion over a small area of the surface at a time.
Step 3: Rinse thoroughly with water or a wet cloth, then use a dry cloth or towel to finish.
Light Rust
Instructions:
Step 1: Apply a generous amount of Soft Cleanser directly to the surface.
Step 2: Start scrubbing! A light-grade non-scratch pad or Scrub Daddy will work well.
Step 3: Rinse thoroughly with water, then wipe down with a dry cloth.

Mineral Deposits on House Windows
With any BKF products you should always test on a small area first, but this is especially important for glass as it can be made and manufactured differently.
Instructions:
Step 1: Grab a non-scratch pad/sponge (we recommend a light-grade pad), rinse the pad in lukewarm water.
Step 2: Apply product directly onto the pad or sponge and start cleaning in small circles.
Step 3: Rinse the window thoroughly with water, then wipe down with a dry cloth.
Copper
If you’ve neglected your copperware, now is the time to show it some love with our Soft Cleanser.
Instructions:
Step 1: Grab a light grade non-scratch pad or sponge and rinse.
Step 2: Apply a generous amount of Soft Cleanser to the pad or sponge, or straight onto the surface if you prefer.
Step 3: Start cleaning! Work in a small area at a time until you've gone over the whole surface.
Step 4: Rinse thoroughly and wipe the surface down with a clean, dry cloth.
If that doesn't cut it you may want to step up to one of our powdered products, either the Cookware Cleanser and Polish or the general powdered Cleanser.
Chrome
Chrome tapware, handlebars, and some outdoor furniture, chrome is probably more common than we realise!
Generally for this type of surface we would recommend the MORE Spray & Foam but for a bit tougher jobs you may want to step up to the Soft Cleanser (or even the powder).
Instructions:
Step 1: Apply a generous amount of Soft Cleanser directly to the surface.
Step 2: Start scrubbing! Use a light-grade non-scratch pad for best results.
Step 3: Give the surface a thorough rinse, and wipe down with a dry cloth.

Fireplace glass
Who doesn't love cuddling up next to the fire in a blanket on a cold winters day?
While fireplaces are cosy, they do require regular cleaning, not only for appearance, but also safety purposes.
Important Safety Tip: Glass doors will stay hot long after a fire is extinguished - always make sure the glass is cool to the touch prior to cleaning.
Instructions:
Step 1: Open the door and place newspaper or a trash bag underneath it. OR place newspaper or a trash bag on top of the fireplace. Remove the insert and place on top so any cleaning residue is collected.
Step 2: Use a damp cloth on the glass to remove any loose debris.
Step 3: Apply the Soft Cleanser to a damp sponge.
Step 4: Spread the product evenly around the glass surface.
Step 5: After 15-20 seconds, get scrubbing (we recommend Scrub Daddy or a light-grade pad).
Step 6: Wipe/rinse clean with a microfibre cloth or paper towels.
