Yes, our products are safe for traditional septic tank systems. However, best check with your manufacturer if you have one of the newer worm-based systems as we don’t have testing on these!
Bar Keepers Friend doesn’t use fillers or bleaches, making our products 100% biodegradable.

Yes, the powder product which we recommend for shower glass does have abrasives in it. However, they are no-filler abrasives, meaning in contact with water they soften and break down. We have tested our products on numerous pieces of shower glass and found them not to scratch.
Typically we recommend the powdered cleanser with a tough grade red pad or Scrub Daddy for use on your shower glass.
These products are often used for tiles, however they are not recommended for porous surfaces, matte finish or coloured grout.
Typically we’d recommend the More Spray and Foam or Soft Cleanser as these are the gentlest options, use with a light grade blue pad or Scrub Daddy in warmer water for soft option.
The main thing is to always test on a small area first and rinse thoroughly.
These products are not recommended for granite, marble or stone as it is a porous surface. However we do have a specific Granite and Stone cleaner specifically for that purpose.
Bar Keepers Friend is great for ovens! Typically we suggest the Cookware Cleanser & Polish - as it has more food based de-greasers in it. However you can you the original Powder Cleanser.

Yes you can, the only difference between the Original Powder Cleanser and the Cookware Cleanser and Polish is the Cookware Cleanser has more food based de-greasers added to the formula to target baked on food stains.
Yes, you can! We’d typically suggest using the Soft Cleanser and Scrub Daddy for windows or house glass. It’s a slightly gentler version, best for this type of glass.
