The latest product from Scrub Daddy is called the Damp Duster... This little gem is more than just a fun name; it's a game-changer for your cleaning routine!
It's become a HUGE success, blowing up on TikTok worldwide, generating over 15M+ views, selling out in the USA for months, and leaving us (New Zealand) high and dry ...until now.
The Damp Duster by Scrub Daddy is a sponge-like cleaning tool that's designed to attract and trap dust particles. Its grooved surface works like a magnet, effectively catching hair, dust, and crumbs in one quick swipe1.
Thank TikTok for this one... When influencers shared videos of themselves using the Damp Duster, the videos went viral. Some videos generating over 15M+ views.

Not only that. Major publications such as Buzz Feed, Vice, Taste Of Home, and Daily Mail got wind of and shared their thoughts:
"So…does it work? A resounding HOYEAH! This baby is so good at trapping dust and hair that when I looked at the dusting sponge after the first pass, I almost gagged." ~Vice
"This TikTok Viral Reusable Duster Transformed My Cleaning Routine!" ~ Buzz Feed
"TikTok goes crazy for new Scrub Daddy product for dusting" ~ Yahoo Finance
"Shoppers are going wild over a new Scrub Daddy product that can remove dust" ~ Daily Mail
"It's the Scrub Daddy product we didn't know we needed!" ~ Taste Of Home
When dampened, the Damp Duster's grooves attract dust and trap it, preventing particles from floating in the air or settling into your carpet. It's perfect for a variety of surfaces including blinds, vents, baseboards, railings, mirrors, and more1. It is particularly effective on glass and baseboards, where it removes dust with a single swipe, leaving no streaks behind1.
Absolutely! The Scrub Daddy Damp Duster has received rave reviews from users for its ability to remove dust more effectively than traditional methods. Plus, it's fun to use, easily rinses clean, doesn't smell, and is reusable. And at a reasonable price point, considering the lifespan of the duster, this is excellent value for money. - But don't take our word for it, see what others have to say.
Wet dusting, or damp dusting, is a method of dusting that uses a slightly damp cloth or tool to pick up and trap dust. Unlike dry dusting, which can cause dust particles to become airborne and resettle elsewhere, damp dusting effectively traps dust and removes it from the surface. The Damp Duster is a testament to the effectiveness of this method, trapping every particle within its grooves and leaving no traces behind1.
The frequency of damp dusting depends on the dust accumulation in your home. However, it's generally recommended to damp dust once a week. This ensures your surfaces remain clean and dust-free. With the Damp Duster, this task becomes quick and easy.
You can purchase the Damp Duster by Scrub Daddy in New Zealand from CleanPost, an authorised distributor of Scrub Daddy products. Alternatively, over the coming months, you may find the Damp Duster on shelves alongside Scrub Daddy Sponges in all good homeware stores such as Mitre10 & Bunnings.

This Repellent is designed to make your life easier by applying a protective layer to the glass. This in turn means more time between cleans and an easier to clean surface.
Important Notes: This product is for use after the glass has been cleaned to protect the glass. Naked Glass Repellent is not a cleaner. This product can be used on windscreens, general windows and shower glass.
Bar Keepers Friend can be used on most types of glass including glass with protection already applied, however, we recommend checking with the manufacturer prior if still under warranty.
Instructions (Also on bottle):
Step 1: Shake well before use.
Step 2: Generously apply Naked Glass Repellent directly onto a soft microfibre cloth.
Step 3: Rub into dry glass with the dampened cloth.
Step 4: Continue to coat the glass, until all areas of the glass are well covered.
Step 5: Allow 20 minutes for the Repellent to cure into the glass.
Step 6: Rinse the glass with water and dry with a soft dry cloth.
FAQ:
I squeegee after every shower, should I still use Naked Glass Repellent?
Even if you use a squeegee every time, build-up will still occur (although at a much slower rate) due to soap scum and moisture. We definitely would still recommend the Naked Glass Protection on the shower to further extend the life of your shower and keep your glass looking pristine.
Can I use Naked Glass Repellent on a brand new shower?
Sure can! Naked Glass is our recommended glass protectant.
How often should I clean the shower after protected?
Once the shower glass has been protected with Naked Glass Repellent, we recommend cleaning with water or general soap or light cleaner once per week. As the glass is sealed, it will be easier to maintain, hence why water is often all that's needed.
If spots do appear, just use a small amount of Bar Keepers Friend, and the spots should come off with a very quick application.
Includes:
Bar Keepers Friend Cleanser - Use this with the Tough Grade, Red Pad for your Shower Glass, Use with the Light Grade, Blue Pad for your acrylics, and chromes, tapware and fixtures.
Naked Glass Repel - Use this with the Microfibre Cloth to protect your glass from future etching and staining, making the shower glass incredibly easy to maintain
Note: The below recommendations are for non-painted and non-plated brass instruments only.
IMPORTANT: Before cleaning, always, ALWAYS test in a small hidden area first and follow instructions on label.

Bar Keepers Friend, the incredible world-famous cleaning product that has taken New Zealand by storm, and Scrub Daddy, the #1 Selling product EVER on the USA's Shark Tank, have teamed up to bring you the Double Trio.
The Double Trio includes:
Bar Keepers Friend was founded WAY back in 1882, yes that's right, 140 years ago - completely by accident too, by chemist and entrepreneur George William Hoffman.
The story goes... when Hoffman was cooking rhubarb, he noticed how clean and shiny his pot suddenly was. Always the chemist, he had to learn how this was possible. He concluded it was the oxalic acid found naturally in rhubarb.
Oxalic Acid is a white crystalline solid. It’s an organic compound that naturally occurs in many fruits and vegetables, such as rhubarb (like George William Hoffman discovered). It’s also found in spinach, beet leaves, Swiss chard, and more.
Being acidic instead of alkaline, Bar Keepers Friend is more effective against mineral deposits and rust stains and are is also recommended by most stainless steel product manufacturers over bleach-based (alkaline) cleansers. It is also biodegradable which means it is suitable for traditional septic tanks.
Oxalic Acid can be made and extracted in a number of different ways. Like our friend George William Hoffman, you can boil and extract the organic compound from rhubarb leaves or from the fruits and veggies mentioned above. Other chemists have used nothing more than sugar and nitric acid to create it.
In terms of the oxalic acid in Bar Keepers Friend products, it generally comes from plant/vegetation waste from industrial suppliers.
Even though oxalic acid is a core ingredient, it makes up just under 10 percent of BKF’s cleanser. Being acidic, you wouldn't want to use straight oxalic acid to clean your cookware or wipe down your counters.
While the process for making oxalic acid is pretty cool, it’s probably a lot easier to pick up a can of Bar Keepers Friend Powdered Cleanser from our website or your closest stockist! Check out this link to find your closest retailer.

When Dazz drops below approximately 15'C, it will begin to go cloudy. This has no impact on efficiency.
It may also look like the heavier particles are sinking to the bottom. No worries! Give it a shake if you feel like it, but it's not necessary. Use Dazz as normal.
You will find, if the temperature of the liquid inside your bottle increases, the cloudiness will disappear as if it were never there.
For example, our Dazz distribution centre here in Papamoa can get quite chilly during winter. So we thought we'd put our Dazz in the sun to show you what happens.
In the morning they looked like this:
As you can see the solution has gone cloudy. The bathroom must have been the cold as it's opaque! 🥶
Not to worry, the solution is completely fine to use in this state.
After a wee while in the sun, our solutions became transparent:
Currently, Dazz is tested to last a year (and counting), once made, with the current mixture of ingredients to be normal and remain effective.
Testing is still needing to be done with all the varying factors. but as a general rule, from a chemistry position... The minimum shelf life for the mixed solution should be at least 1 year, probably much longer as our tests are limited by the time we have had them running!
Fun fact: Test are currently sitting on the shelf in a lab in Colorado, USA.
Thank you for all your support. Dazz has made an incredible reduction in the amount of plastic used when cleaning your home.
If you're running low on Dazz, shop the range here.

Bar Keepers Friend, the incredible world-famous cleaning product that has taken New Zealand by storm, and Scrub Daddy, the #1 Selling product EVER on the USA's Shark Tank, have teamed up to bring you the Double Trio.
The Double Trio includes:
1. Focus on one thing at a time - If you think about all the things you may need to do around the home you are bound to get overwhelmed.
Start with a small task, nope smaller! This article by Housewife How-Tos puts it really well by saying "Start with one surface. Not one floor of the house, not one room of it, not even an entire closet or one cupboard. Start with one surface" (or one small area or section if the surface is large). Finish this in its entirety, and do not feel guilty that it is only small. You are doing something and that is the first, and I think the hardest step.
2. Pump up those tunes! - Cleaning doesn't have to be boring! Music can help boost your energy and mood which is ideal for cleaning. You can also listen to a podcast, an audiobook or something similar, however, I find something upbeat works best.
There are tons of cleaning song playlists on Spotify and YouTube that work great, along with some great articles on some great cleaning songs. Get some song ideas here and here.
3. Turn off distractions - No this doesn't mean turn off the music, this means turning off the distractions that will stop or divert you from cleaning. So, put your phone away (after reading this blog of course), turn off that Netflix and get cleaning.
You can do it!
4. Set a timer - This is a great tool for the jobs that you procrastinate on most. Set a timer (15-25 mins works best) and work steadily for that time. After your timer is done, have a 5 minute break (time this too if you plan to get back to cleaning).
This not only gives your cleaning a time-line and routine but you'll likely realise that some of those dreaded jobs don't take as long as you think.
5. Do a small amount daily - Having a cleaning routine or even a set time each day to clean can mean more time in the weekend for fun and relaxation.
You could assign each task or room a day of the week, Monday Bathroom etc. or clean for a certain time each day (#4 helpful for this) and you will be amazed at how much you get done.
My big tip is to do it as soon as I get home from work, because if I sit down when I get home, that's it - no cleaning or anything productive for me. Also, as soon as you get up works well and sets up a productive mindset for the day ahead.
6. Remember why you are cleaning - If you think cleaning is a waste of time because it will just get dirty again, you are so wrong.
Having a clean and organised space means less dust and dirt, which in-turn means less illnesses and allergies in the home. Cleaning, when done regularly also saves you time as a little de-clutter or tidy up every day saves a big clean up each week. Also you know where things are which saves time looking for things.
Lastly, and I think most importantly, having a clean space makes you feel good! Clutter has been shown to negatively impact your mood and increase stress levels. People clean for various reasons so find what motivates you. Remember, every little bit counts, and if you ever feel overwhelmed with how much has to be done, head back to #1.
7. Invite people over - This is a great way to achieve some rapid fire cleaning. The idea that someone is coming over and will see your mess is a great motivation technique to get cleaning. You don't have to invite heaps of people either, often just one will do the trick, especially if they are a bit picky.
Final Thoughts
It turns out writing a blog about cleaning motivation is also a great cleaning motivator. Thanks so much for reading! Now go clean! You got this! 😁

"How do you clean shower glass?"
This is the single most asked question here at CleanPost, and for good reason. Shower cleaning is generally one of the most despised tasks around the home as elbow grease is often required. Also if you do not have the right products it can be a waste of time and money.
Here's where Bar Keepers Friend comes in!
Important: Our general Bar Keepers Friend products are not recommend on stone or porous surfaces. We recommend covering these surfaces closest to your shower prior to cleaning. Also if you have tiles or your shower is acrylic or perspex, read the relevant section below.
And always, ALWAYS test in a small area first.
Instructions:
Step 1: Grab a non-scratch scrubbing pad/sponge (we recommend a Tough grade pad or Scrub Daddy).
Step 2: Wet your pad or sponge with water.
Step 3: Apply about 1TBS of BKF powdered cleanser to the pad/sponge.
Step 4: Scrub the shower glass using small circles (about 10cm) for about 30 seconds each time (This way, you can get a feel of how much attention the shower you're working on is going to need).
Step 5: Rinse with a damp cloth, then follow with a dry cloth or towel. OR turn on your shower and rinse/dry thoroughly.
Shower Glass Protection (Recommended)
Step 6: Apply Naked Glass Repellent onto your microfibre cloth and apply to the clean, dry shower glass.
Step 7: Leave on for 20 minutes.
Step 8: Rinse thoroughly and squeegee or wipe down with a dry cloth to remove.
For tough jobs, we'd suggest making the powder into a paste and letting it sit on the surface for a minute before giving it a scrub then rinsing completely. Also, work over a small area at first rather than the whole door at once as shown in the video above.
Plastic showers are a bit of a mixed bag! The only trouble with plastic/perspex/acrylic/plexiglass showers is that in many cases, even the most gentle cloth can cause harmful scratches!
We recommend starting with the gentlest form, being the MORE Spray & Foam with a light grade pad and moving up to a Soft Cleanser if need be. The MORE Spray is completely non-abrasive and would have nothing in it to cause damage, only question being if the surface build-up is too tough for the gentle option… as many are.
Spot test in a small area first and let dry to ensure you are happy before committing to the entire shower.
You have to be SUPER careful with tiles and grout as tiles can be made so differently. Our products are not suitable for all tiles. We recommend covering tiles close to the shower when cleaning your shower glass.
Bar Keepers Friend products are often used for tiles, however they are not recommended for porous surfaces, matte finish or coloured grout. The main thing is to always test on a small area first and rinse thoroughly.
Typically we’d recommend the MORE Spray and Foam as the gentlest option, use with a light grade blue pad or Scrub Daddy. You may want to step up to the Soft Cleanser if that doesn’t cut it.
Also, if your tiles are granite or stone ONLY use our specialty Granite and Stone Cleaner.
Read more on types of tiles here
And how to clean them here
And cleaning grout here
Note: Bar Keepers Friend is not generally recommend on Matte surfaces or fixtures, however some customers have had success. If you do choose to try only use the MORE Spray and test in a small hidden area first.
What you'll need:
- Bar Keepers Friend Soft Cleanser
- Light-grade pad or Scrub Daddy
- Microfibre or soft cloth
Instructions:
Step 1: Apply a generous amount of Soft Cleanser directly to the surface, or onto to a damp pad or Scrub Daddy.
Step 2: Start scrubbing! For best results, scrub using small circles.
Step 3: Give the surface a thorough rinse, and wipe down with a dry cloth.
Cleaning the shower is not one of our favourite jobs at the best of times but we, like many people, can find cleaning the tracks and corners especially challenging.
When cleaning these areas having the right tools for the job makes a huge difference. One tool we find especially helpful for these areas is the Micro-Manager Brush from Full Circle. This makes it easy to get into all those hard to reach spaces.
Once the shower has been protected with Naked Glass Repellent, we recommend cleaning with water, general soap or light cleaner once per week. As the glass is sealed, it will be easier to maintain, hence why water is often all that's needed.
If spots do appear, just use a small amount of Bar Keepers Friend, and the spots should come off with a very quick application.
If the glass isn't protected, after using the powder for the initial clean, we recommend using the MORE Spray once every 2 weeks to keep the shower looking good. Depending on your water content and whether or not a squeegee is used, it may be more/less frequent. Once the tough stuff (months/years of build-up) is removed, this maintenance clean will be significantly easier, and require less time and effort.
We can not recommend squeegees enough! Using squeegees regularly in your shower means less build-up as the water is not left on the surface. This in-turn means you will not have to do that dreaded shower clean as often.
Squeegees create streak-free water removal, perfect not only for shower glass, but windows and windscreens also. Check out Full Circle Pivoting Squeegee here.
Blocked drains are no fun to look at and can create all sorts of issues if they become too clogged. Clearing out your drains is a crucial step to get that ultimate shower clean.
The Green Gobbler Drain Clog Dissolver is a no measure dual-chamber bottle that makes drain cleaning a breeze. It also suitable for toilets and other drains and is septic tank safe.
If you're anything like me you love a good bath, and now that we are getting into the cooler months, it is the perfect time to give your bath a good clean.
IMPORTANT: While Bar Keepers Friend is safe to use on most hard surfaces, including porcelain, always test it on an inconspicuous part of the bathtub first.
If your bathroom floor is polished marble or other natural stone, cover the area closest to the bathtub before you start cleaning as BKF may cause discolouration or etching on delicate surfaces.
What you'll need:
- Bar Keepers Friend Soft Cleanser
- Scrub Daddy or light-grade pad
- Dry cloth (lint free)
Instructions:
Step 1: Rinse entire tub with water.
Step 2: Rinse a light-grade pad or Scrub Daddy in water.
Step 3: Apply Soft Cleanser to your pad or sponge or directly into the bath.
Step 4: Scrub in small circles for no more than a minute each time.
Step 5: Rinse thoroughly and wipe down with a dry cloth or towel.
If the surface has super tough staining or you have already tried the Soft Cleanser, you may want to step up to the Powdered Cleanser. As always though, test in a small area first and rinse thoroughly.
For super tough jobs we suggest making the powder into a paste and letting it sit on the surface for a minute before giving it a scrub then rinsing completely. Also, work over a small area at first other than the whole bath at once.

Step 2: Use a damp cloth on the glass to remove any loose debris.
Step 3: Apply the Soft Cleanser to a damp sponge.

You probably already know that Bar Keepers Friend is great on shower glass, but what you may not know, is that it is also great on general window glass.
Before Cleaning: TEST FIRST!
I know we go on and on about testing first here at CleanPost HQ, but it is for good reason. Although glass is pretty safe with BKF you'll still want to test first and follow instructions carefully to make sure. Also, when cleaning windows from the inside, we recommend placing an old towel or large rag below the window to prevent damage to the carpet or flooring.
Tinted or Treated windows - see further down

Step 3: Scrub in a small circles (about 10cm) for about 30 seconds.
Step 4: Rinse with water and a damp cloth, then follow with a dry cloth.
For tough jobs, we'd suggest making the powder into a paste and letting it sit on the surface for a minute before giving it a scrub then rinsing completely. Also, work over a small area at first other than the whole window at once.
Tinted glass is an interesting one as often the tinting can be applied on the inside, rather than the outside as part of the manufacturing process!
For tinted windows we recommend checking with the manufacturer to ensure their use doesn't void any existing warranty or damage the coating applied. This advice is similar for treated windows, it will likely clean well but may void a warranty or remove an existing coating.
Otherwise, as any coating may be sensitive, always test on a small area first and rinse thoroughly. Typically we suggest using the More Spray and Foam or Soft Cleanser with a light grade blue pad or Scrub Daddy for windows or house glass as it’s the gentlest option.

The Double Trio includes:
Original Cleanser – Best for use on tough stains like showers glass, tiles, toilets, brass, copper tubs and more to get rid of rust, hard water stains, mineral deposits and built-up grease and grime. Can be used in a paste-like formula for the toughest stains or dilute for lighter ones, very versatile and great for almost any hard surface.
Soft Cleanser – In a pre-diluted, liquid form. Has the same active ingredients as the original cleanser though in an easier-to-use form. Use for stainless steel benches and sinks, solid chrome tapware, porcelain, acrylic, rust stains, tarnish or aluminium.
MORE Spray & Foam – The gentlest formula, great for chromes, benches, cleaning oily residues, vertical areas such as backsplashes, great for faucets, tapware and sinks. Also tackles everyday grime, but with a massive kick and shine.
Scrub Daddy Original - Yellow - The original revolutionary sponge. His FlexTexture changes depending on water temperature. In cold water, he's firm and in warm water, he's soft for general scrubbing applications. He's been lab tested on over 20 surfaces to be scratch free. ]]>One often neglected area when cleaning a car is the wheels. Wheels, mags, rims, alloys whatever you want to call them, can be home to oil, dirt and salt which in turn can attract rust over time, causing damage to the wheel.
As always... test in a small area first and follow instructions carefully. Bar Keepers Friend is not recommended for painted surfaces so best to avoid on the paintwork, however, it is fine for most metal alloys.
Pro tip: To provide extra protection to your tyres, cover and tape off the parts of your wheels (or paint) you don’t want to come in contact with the product.
IMPORTANT NOTE: These instructions are for the chrome and metal alloys only. For paint-coated, powder coated, matte or chrome plated see further below.
We recommend Bar Keepers Friend MORE Spray & Foam for a good general clean. This is a great place to start if you have not used BKF on your wheels before, or for a general, overall clean.
What you'll need:
- Bar Keepers Friend MORE Spray & Foam
- Scrub Daddy or light-grade pad
- Dry cloth (lint free or microfibre)
- Car friendly tape (optional)
Instructions:
(Optional Step): Before you start, tape up and cover any areas you do not want to come into contact with the product.
Step 1: Make sure wheels are cool to the touch prior to cleaning. Test in a small area first, following instructions.
Step 2: Rinse a Scrub Daddy or light-grade pad in lukewarm water.
Step 3: Spray MORE Spray & Foam directly onto the wheel.
Step 4: Scrub in small circles, getting into all the holes and corners.
Step 5: Rinse off thoroughly within one minute of application.
Step 6: Dry with a microfibre or lint-free cloth.
Katelyn Fagan of What’s Up Fagans? used MORE Spray & Foam to clean the chrome rims of their vehicle back in 2018. You can watch her fantastic tutorial here:
We recommend the Bar Keepers Friend Soft Cleanser as a great option for tougher stains on chrome and metal alloys.
What you'll need:
- Bar Keepers Friend Soft Cleanser
- Scrub Daddy or light-grade pad
- Dry cloth (lint free)
- Car friendly tape (optional)
Instructions:
(Optional Step): Tape up and cover any areas you do not want to come into contact with the product.
Step 1: Prior to cleaning, check surface is cool to the touch. Then, following the instructions, test in a small area first.
Step 2: Rinse entire surface with water.
Step 3: Dampen a Scrub Daddy or light-grade pad in water.
Step 4: Apply the Soft Cleanser to the Scrub Daddy or cleaning pad.
Step 5: Using small circles, scrub away! Be sure to get in all the nooks and crannies.
Step 6: After no more than one minute of application, rinse thoroughly, making sure to remove all product.
Still not cutting it? You may want to step up to the powdered Cleanser, a step up from the Soft Cleanser. For these types of jobs, we'd suggest making the powder into a paste. Then let it sit on the surface for a minute, before giving it a scrub then rinsing completely. Also, work over a small area at first, other than the whole area at once.
Paint Coated - Bar Keepers Friend is not recommend on painted surfaces so we would steer clear here. Check with the manufacturer for best cleaning practices.
Powder Coated/Matte - Not generally recommended, however some customers have had success. Check with the manufacturer prior.
Chrome Plated - Also, quite susceptible to damage. Test in a small area first, only using MORE Spray and a soft or microfibre cloth.
Plastic Hubcaps - Bar Keepers Friend is not generally recommended on plastic, however some customers have had success. If you do decide to have a go, test in a small area first and only use the MORE Spray & Foam with a soft cloth.

We typically recommend the Cookware Cleanser with added food-based degreasers for these types of messes, however the general powder will work great also. For a more general clean you may want to dilute the powder with water to create a gentler form.
Note: Not recommended on non-metal handles (wood, plastic etc.) or cast iron.
Instructions:
Step 1: Grab a sponge and dampen it. A light grade pad or Scrub Daddy will work well.
Step 2: If using undiluted, place powder directly onto the surface OR place product onto the damp pad or sponge.
If diluted, dip the sponge or pad into the solution.
Step 3: Get scrubbing!!
Step 4: Rinse well with water a damp cloth. Then dry with a clean cloth or towel.

Use on stainless steel, ceramic and glass or for restoring mugs or glasses. In a cream form, so easier (and preferable to many) to use than the powder. Also, diluted in comparison so slightly safer on very delicate surfaces.

Light Grade Cleaning Pad (Blue or White): Use this for most hard surfaces, such as stainless steel, tapware, porcelain, and acrylic
To tell whether the item is brass plated or not is very simple, place a magnet on it! If it doesn't stick it is brass. If it does stick then it is brass plated.
Important note: The following instructions are only for solid brass. Polishing is not necessary for brass plated items and will likely remove or damage the plating. Always test in a small inconspicuous area first.

Instructions:
Step 1: Spray MORE Spray & Foam onto a microfibre or lint-free cloth, or directly onto the surface being cleaned.
Step 2: With your cloth, clean the surface using small circles.
Step 3: Using a damp cloth, wipe down the surface, making sure to remove all product.
Step 4: Lastly, buff with a dry cloth or soft towel. Sorted!
What you'll need:

While they are generally easy to clean, splashbacks will get grimy with built up grease and cooking fats over time.
Pro tip: Cloudy days = Cleaning time! Cleaning solutions are more likely to streak when it's warm and sunny, so clean when it's cloudy! The heat can cause the liquid to dry faster creating unpleasant streaks. Remember ALWAYS test in a small (hidden if possible) area first.
DO NOT use if a protective coating has been applied. Check with manufacturer if unsure.

IMPORTANT: You have to be SUPER careful cleaning tiles! Tiles can be made so differently and have a variety of different textures, meaning Bar Keepers Friend is not suitable for all tiles. Check that your tile is suitable with BKF here.
Before you begin, remember that with any cleaning project, it’s always best to start off with the mildest cleaning solution first.
Instructions:
Step 1: Scrub dirty grout using plain water and a tough bristle brush to loosen excess dirt/grime. If you do not have a tough bristle brush on hand, check out our Tile & Grout brush.
Step 2: Apply Bar Keepers Friend onto the grout. Start with the gentler options, the MORE Spray & Foam or Soft Cleanser and stepping up to the Powdered Cleanser if need be.
Step 3: Get Scrubbing! Some elbow grease may be needed here.
Step 4: Rinse thoroughly within one minute of application. This is so important! Leaving BKF on too long may cause discolouration or staining.
Step 5: Dry with a soft cloth or towel.
*For the purposes of BKF non-coloured grout is all grout that is white, cream or lighter coloured. Some lighter coloured grout can appear brownish prior to cleaning.
IMPORTANT READ FIRST: Bar Keepers Friend is not recommended on porous surfaces, matte finish or coloured grout.
TEST!!! We can not stress this enough. As we recommend with any cleaning project, it’s always best to start off with the mildest cleaning solution and start in a small (hidden if possible) area.
Typically we’d recommend the More Spray and Foam as the gentlest option, use with a light-grade pad or Scrub Daddy in warm water. The next step up is the Soft Cleanser if you need something stronger.
Instructions:
Step 1: Wet a light-grade pad or Scrub Daddy in lukewarm water.
Step 2: Spray MORE Spray & Foam on to the pad or directly on to the tile.
Step 3: Get Scrubbing!
Step 4: Rinse thoroughly within one minute of application.
Step 5: Dry with a soft cloth or towel.
Our general range is not recommended for marble or stone as they are porous surfaces, however we do have a Granite and Stone cleaner specifically formulated for these types of surfaces.
Note: Porous stones are prone to discolouration and may struggle to rinse. Test on a small area and proceed with caution.
Instructions:
Step 1: Wet a light-grade pad or Scrub Daddy in lukewarm water.
Step 2: Spray Granite & Stone Cleaner on to the pad or directly on to the tile.
Step 3: Clean with the pad/sponge and rinse thoroughly within one minute of applying.
Step 4: Dry with a soft cloth or towel.
Glass tiles can generally be treated similar to windows, however if the surface has a protective coating, check with your manufacturer to ensure you are not voiding any warranty and/or removing the coating.
Instructions (General clean):
Step 1: Grab a light-grade pad or Scrub Daddy.
Step 2: Apply Soft Cleanser on to the pad or Scrub Daddy.
Step 3: Scrub Away!
Step 4: After no more than a minute, rinse thoroughly.
Step 5: Dry with a towel or soft cloth.
Instructions (Tough water marks/limescale):
Step 1: Wet a tough-grade pad or Scrub Daddy with cold water.
Step 2: Apply BKF Powdered Cleanser directly to the glass or onto the pad/sponge.
Step 3: Scrub in small circles, some elbow grease may be required!
Step 4: Rinse thoroughly after up to a minute scrubbing
Step 4: Dry with a soft cloth or towel.
This tends to be our problem child… I mean tile. Bar Keepers Friend is not generally recommended on matte surfaces as it can cause discolouration and staining, however some customers have had success.
If you do choose to try, test in a small area first with the gentlest option (MORE Spray). If in doubt we recommend contacting the manufacturer for the best cleaning practices on these types of tiles.
The porous nature of some tiles can make them prone to discolouration and staining, and these can be difficult to rinse. Similar to above (matte tiles) Bar Keepers Friend is not generally recommended on porous surfaces. If you do choose to try test in a small area first (I know we say that a lot but trust us it is for good reason)
To identify if you have porous tiles or stone, drop a small amount of water on the surface. If it is porous, water marks and darkening are visible after the floor is wet, leaving areas patchy and discoloured until they dry out. This picture shows a tile before and after the sealing process.

Due to their affordability, durability, and resistance to stains and odours, ceramic tiles have become one of the most common types of tile found in homes today.
The durability of ceramic tiles means they are suitable for high traffic areas throughout the home including bathrooms, kitchens, laundry rooms and entry-ways.
Ceramic tiles can be glazed or unglazed (most commonly glazed). Glazing seals them with a liquid glass coating. This gives ceramic tiles their resistance to stains and fading. If left unglazed, they may require other form of sealing or coating.
Porcelain tiles are very similar to ceramic in many ways, but there are some definite differences between the two…
Like ceramic, porcelain is durable, scratch resistant, and less prone to stains. Porcelain however, is made with a denser clay than ceramic, making it even more resistant to damage. With this added durability porcelain (unlike ceramic) is able to be used outdoors as well and indoors. This makes porcelain suitable for a wider range of projects.
Porcelain tiles are also often used to emulate natural stone, brick or wood.
Stone tiles are known for their classic beauty and durability. Stone tiles come in many forms such as granite, marble, limestone, travertine, quartzite and sandstone.
Stone tiles are very porous materials and it is recommended that if stone tiles are to be used inside the home that they are sealed.
The process of sealing requires a sealant to be applied directly to the tile. This makes the tile less porous which increases its’ resistance to staining, dirt and general wear. This also means the tile will be easier to clean and will generally last longer.
Glass Tiles are very stain resistant which makes them a popular option for splashbacks, table tops and feature walls. One potential downside to glass tiles is that they are much more likely to chip and/or crack, this means they are not recommended for high traffic areas like bathroom or kitchen floors.
Matte finish tiles are a popular option for tiles in homes, they are suitable for both interior wall and flooring applications. This type of finish can be applied to different types of tiles (porcelain, ceramic etc), they appear dull and reflect little light. Matte tiles are effective in concealing stains, smudges and the like. However, they can be difficult to clean.
A non-porous floor does not absorb soils or moisture. Examples of this include glazed ceramic or glazed porcelain tiles. Moisture tends to sink into the surface of porous tiles if unglazed or unsealed. Examples are concrete, unsealed stone and brick. This picture shows a tile before and after the sealing process.
To identify if you have porous tiles or stone, drop a small amount of water on the surface. If it is porous, water marks and darkening are visible after the floor is wet, leaving areas patchy and discoloured until they dry out.
Grout is used as a filler for the joints between tiles once the tile you are installing has been set. Grout (like tiles) can come in a variety of colours to match or contrast the tiles.

Copper appears dirty for two main reasons, the first being tarnish. Tarnish creates a layer of corrosion on top which dulls the sheen, making the copperware appear dirty.
The second, perhaps more obvious reason is food stains, as you well know, kitchens can get messy!
Most copper cookware is lined with a protective coating, usually made of stainless steel or tin. Since most copperware is lined, you'll want a cleanser (like BKF) that is safe for both the copper surface and lining. However always...
Bar Keepers Friend is suitable for quality copper, however it’s always a good idea to test the cleanser on a small area first (because some products marketed as copperware may be a mix of metals).
Wet a spot on the copperware and add a slight amount of Bar Keepers Friend. Use a wet sponge to lightly cleanse the area, rinse, and check for any dullness or scratches.
Instructions(General):
Step 1: Grab a light grade non-scratch pad or sponge and rinse.
Step 2: Apply a generous amount of Soft Cleanser to the pad or sponge, or straight onto the surface if you prefer.
Step 3: Start cleaning! Work in a small area at a time until you've gone over the whole surface.
Step 4: Rinse thoroughly and wipe the surface down with a clean, dry cloth.
If that doesn't cut it you may want to step up to one of our powdered products, either the Cookware Cleanser and Polish or the general powdered Cleanser.
Instructions (Toughest):
Step 1: Rinse the copperware in water.
Step 2: In a small bowl or similar, mix BKF Cookware Cleanser or general Cleanser with a small amount of water to make a paste. Peanut butter consistency is perfect.
Step 3: Apply mixture onto the surface and leave on for up to a minute.
Step 4: Scrub! Scrub! Scrub! We recommend using a Scrub Daddy in cold water or a tough grade pad (rinse first). Scrub using small circles.
Step 5: Rinse surface down thoroughly before use.
Step 6: Dry with a soft (lint free) cloth.

Bar Keepers Friend, the incredible world-famous cleaning product that has taken New Zealand by storm, and Scrub Daddy, the #1 Selling product EVER on the USA's Shark Tank, have teamed up to bring you the Double Trio.
The Double Trio includes:
For these types of jobs you will want to start with our toughest formula, the powder.
We generally recommend the Cookware Cleanser as it has more food based degreasers however the general Cleanser works great also!
Instructions (Toughest clean):
Step 1: In a small bowl or similar, mix BKF Cookware Cleanser with a small amount of water to make a paste. Peanut butter consistency is perfect.
Step 2: Apply mixture onto the surface and leave on for up to a minute.
Step 3: Scrub! Scrub! Scrub! We recommend using with a Scrub Daddy in cooler water or a tough grade pad. Scrub using small circles.
Step 4: Rinse surface down thoroughly before use.
Step 5: Dry with a soft (lint free) cloth.
Instructions (Tough clean):
Step 1: Grab a non-scratch pad/sponge (we recommend a Scrub Daddy or a cleaning pad, start with a light grade) and rinse it in water.
Step 2: Apply powder directly to the item OR place product onto the damp pad or sponge. Use small circles, rather than the whole area at once. Leave on for no more than a minute.
Step 3: Rinse thoroughly, then grab a dry cloth to buff up the shine!
Happy Cleaning! 🤩
Bar Keepers Friend Spring Cleaning Kit Includes:
Original Cleanser: Best for use on tough stains like shower glass, tiles, toilets, brass, copper tubs and more, to get rid of rust, hard water stains, mineral deposits and built up grease and grime. Can be used in a paste like formula for the toughest stains or dilute for lighter ones. Very versatile and great for almost any hard surface.
Soft Cleanser: In a pre-diluted, liquid form. Has the same active ingredients as the original cleanser though in an easier-to-use form. Use for stainless steel benches and sinks, solid chrome tapware, porcelain, acrylic, rust stains, tarnish or aluminium.
MORE Spray & Foam: The gentlest formula, great for chromes, benches, cleaning oily residues, vertical areas such as backsplashes. Great for faucets, tapware and sinks. Also tackles everyday grime, but with a massive kick and shine.
Cookware Cleanser & Polish: Best uses are for tough, food-based stains. Like ovens, including doors and tray (ensure it’s well rinsed), nasty lasagne or casserole dishes, cookware such as stainless steel or copper pots and pans (don't use on non-stick cookware) It has more degreaser than the original powder form, better suited to food-based stains.
Cooktop Cleaner: Specifically designed for cooktops of all kinds, Use on induction cooktops, stovetops, gas cooktops. Perfect for the glossy surface tops that need care taken with them. Use on stainless steel, ceramic and glass or for restoring mugs or glasses. In a cream form, so easier (and preferable to many) to use than the powder. Also, diluted in comparison so slightly safer on very delicate surfaces.
Tough Grade Cleaning Pad (Red or Green): Use this for the really tough surfaces, like shower glass, tiles and ovens
Light Grade Cleaning Pad (Blue or White): Use this for most hard surfaces, such as stainless steel, tapware, porcelain, and acrylic
This article is short, sweet, and to the point. Nobody likes oven cleaning (well... you might after this), so I have aimed to keep this as simple as possible.
Since sharing this, we have had hundreds of testimonials from Kiwis who have followed these steps to produce the results you would expect from a commercial cleaner. Here are a few of them for you to see. Then we shall move on to the secret sauce.
Please take a BEFORE photo. That way you can see the difference afterwards. We love to see your results!
1. Bar Keepers Friend - A can of their POWDER cleanser. You can use the Cookware option as it contains more food-based degreaser, but either one will work. This stuff is amazing.
2. A NON-SCRATCH scouring pad. - I recommend purchasing this Cleaning Kit that includes the correct scrubbers. Do not use those green scourers or steel scrubbers you buy at the supermarket, or you may damage the oven.
3. Bowl of water.
4. Tea towel.
5. Bar Keepers Friend MORE Spray (optional).
Step 1: Dip the non-scratch pad in water to wet it slightly.
Step 2: Apply a generous amount of BKF powder to the sponge (roughly 1TBS).
Step 3: Move the sponge in circular motions with decent pressure to clean the inside of your oven. Do the Glass. Walls. Trays and Racks.
Step 4: Rinse and wipe the solution off thoroughly.
Step 5: Lastly, for ovens with a stainless steel exterior, use BKF MORE Spray to clean the surface as it's more gentle. Apply a generous amount, and use your tea towel to scrub in the direction of the grain to get your oven looking clean and shiny.
IMPORTANT: Spot test a small area first BKF requires thorough rinsing to ensure the job is done well There you have it… A clean oven at a fraction of the cost.
It may take a little elbow grease to get all that built up grease and grime removed. However, I am confident you will be extremely please with your results.
Happy Cleaning!

]]>Welcome to Part 4 of 'Make the Most of Bar Keepers Friend'. This time around, we will be sharing the best ways to use Bar Keepers Friend Cookware Cleanser & Polish.
The Cookware Cleanser is specially formulated to remove burnt-on food and stains making it perfect for pots, pans and ovens.
As with all of our products, ALWAYS test on a small area first and wipe or rinse thoroughly after use. This is especially important when cleaning food preparation and serving surfaces. Always follow instructions on product cover.
Note: Not recommended on cast iron or non-stick surfaces.
Another note: The general powdered Cleanser also works well on the below surfaces just without the added food-based de-greaser and 50% more surfactants.
We've all done it - Whether it was a new recipe or stepping away for just a moment too long, we have all had to deal with a burnt mess at one point or another. What's the best way you clean this awful mess? Well Bar Keepers Friend Cookware Cleanser of course.
The Cookware Cleanser is suitable on stainless steel, aluminium and copper pots and pans.
As with any of our products we always recommend testing in a small area first and only continuing if test is successful, using under the same conditions as the test.
Haven't cleaned your oven since 2005!?... Ok well, that might be a bit long... but you get what I mean. Cleaning ovens is definitely not considered one of the fun tasks around the home, but it doesn't have to be such a chore with the Cookware Cleanser.
The key thing in this situation is the rinsing. BKF requires thorough rinsing, so ensure it is done well and always test on a small area first.
Instructions (Oven door):
Step 1: Apply a generous amount of the powdered cleanser onto the inside of your glass oven door.
Step 2: Wet your non-scratch pad or sponge with water (tough grade or Scrub Daddy).
Step 3: Same as you would for the shower. Scrub! Start in a small circle area (10cm) for 30 seconds. As per instructions we recommend leaving on for no more than a minute.
Step 4: Rinse well with a damp cloth. Then dry with a clean cloth or towel.
Instructions (Inside oven):
As stated, the key thing in this situation is the rinsing, which can be hard inside an oven. BKF requires thorough rinsing, so ensure all product is removed after use and also wiped down thoroughly and always test on a small area first.
Note: Not recommended for self cleaning ovens, check with manufacturer before use.
Step 1: Grab a sponge, a light grade pad or Scrub Daddy will work well.
Step 2: Apply powder directly inside the oven OR place product onto the damp sponge or pad.
Step 3: Scrub using small circles, rather than the whole area at once.
Step 4: Wipe down with a damp cloth, then dry with a clean cloth or towel.
Reminder: BKF is not recommended for cast iron or non-stick surfaces. And always test in a small area first.
Instructions:
Step 1: Grab a non-scratch pad/sponge (we recommend a Scrub Daddy or a cleaning pad/sponge (light or tough depending on stains and surface)) and rinse it in water.
Step 2: Apply powder directly to the tray OR place product onto the damp pad or sponge. Use small circles, rather than the whole area at once, to clean the surface.
Step 3: Rinse thoroughly, then grab a cloth to dry.
So I know last week's lasagne dish is still "soaking" in the sink, and that you'll get to one day, but. Seriously, don't be scared! BKF is here to help!
Bar Keepers Friend products are suitable for a wide range of surface types, nevertheless we ALWAYS recommend testing in a small area first and following instructions carefully.
Note: Not recommended for patterned or textured surfaces (eg. gold leaf pyrex)
Instructions:
Step 1: Grab a non-scratch pad/sponge (we recommend a Scrub Daddy or a light grade pad and rinse it in lukewarm water.
Step 2: Apply powder directly to the dish OR place product onto the damp pad or sponge.
Step 3: SCRUB AWAY!
Step 4: Rinse thoroughly, then wipe down using a dry cloth.
Like many kitchen items, it doesn't take long for oven racks to get dirty. Cleaning oven racks may not be the most enjoyable task but with some BKF Cookware Cleanser on hand you'll be good to go.
Instructions:
Step 1: Remove oven rack and place in sink (or bath).
Step 2: Rinse oven rack with water.
Step 3: Mix the Cookware Cleanser and water in a container/bowl to make a paste. Peanut butter consistency is best.
Step 4: Apply paste to racks. Leave on for up to a minute*
Step 5: Scrub! A Scrub Daddy in cooler water or a tough grade pad works best.
Step 6: Rinse off with water. Use a tough or cloth to dry.
Whether you got a bit too excited on the weekend at the BBQ, and charred that trusty stainless steel spatula, or if the BBQ tools are just looking a little neglected, BKF is here to help.
Note: Not recommended on non-metal handles (wood, plastic etc.)
Instructions:
Step 1: Grab a sponge, a light grade pad or Scrub Daddy rinsed will work well.
Step 2: Apply powder directly onto the surface OR place product onto the damp pad or sponge.
Step 3: Get scrubbing!!
Step 4: Rinse well with a damp cloth. Then dry with a clean cloth or towel.
Yes you read that right, shower glass.
Generally we recommend the general powdered Cleanser when cleaning shower glass. However, if the Cookware Cleanser is all you have on hand definitely give it a go as it has the same active ingredient as the Cleanser (Just different properties).
Instructions:
Step 1: Grab a non-scratch scrubbing pad/sponge (we recommend a tough grade pad or Scrub Daddy).
Step 2: Wet your pad or sponge with water (colder water for Scrub Daddy).
Step 3: Apply a good amount of powder to the wet sponge/pad.
Step 4: Scrub in a small circle (about 10cm) for about 30 seconds.
Step 5: Rinse, then follow with a dry cloth or towel.
For tough jobs, we'd suggest making the powder into a paste (as shown in pots/pans) and letting it sit on the surface for a minute before giving it a scrub then rinsing completely.* Also, work over a small area at first other than a large section all at once. Any questions flick us an email at support@cleanpost.co.nz
This is a very tough cleaner (consistency similar to the general Cleanser), for more general cleans you may want to step down to the Soft Cleanser or even the MORE Spray & Foam.
*Although we recommend leaving BKF on for no more than a minute. Some customers (as shown here) have had success leaving on much longer. Always proceed with caution when using BKF and when first using we recommend following instructions on the label and testing on a small area first.

As with anything you want to be cautious, especially when using new cleaning products so here are a few insights in how NOT to use BKF.
I know we harp on about testing here at Bar Keepers Friend NZ, but it is for good reason. Testing on a surface first can prevent cleaning mishaps or damage to a surface or item.
Always, always, ALWAYS test in a small (hidden if possible) area first, and follow instructions carefully.
Bar Keepers Friend products work quickly, and for most surfaces we recommend rinsing off within a minute of application, as per instructions. Leaving the product on the surface for a longer period may result in discolouration or streaks.
Hot tip: Set a phone timer.
Most cleaning products, including Bar Keepers Friend, should not be mixed with other cleaners or chemicals. Combining BKF with ammonia or bleach can create toxic fumes.
Unlike BKF, many of the top selling cleaners contain bleach. These cleaners mixed with BKF are especially dangerous, as bleach mixed with BKF can create chlorine gas.
Hot tip: Rinse off any other cleaning products (if used recently) before using BKF.
While Bar Keepers Friend cleans and polishes many surfaces, there are many surfaces you will want to avoid using BKF on.
Do not use BKF on the following: cast iron, granite, wood, fabric (incl. leather) and painted, porous or non-stick surfaces.
Hot tip: If unsure about a particular surface, do a quick Google search, or flick us an email at support@cleanpost.co.nz - Also refer back to #1
Bar Keepers Friend was never designed to be used dry. The original powder should always be mixed with water by either adding water to the powder and mixing it in, or wetting the surface to clean and then adding BKF.
Like any powder, Bar Keepers Friend can be blown into the air, and should never be inhaled.
Our products need to be thoroughly rinsed after use (See #2). If not rinsed correctly it may leave a white film or streaks on the surface.
Always rinse thoroughly after use, then wipe down the surface with a clean dry cloth.
Now that we've cleared that up, get cleaning! 😁

Welcome to Part 3 of 'Make the Most of Bar Keepers Friend'. Here at BKF NZ we often get asked "What can I use this on?" or "Can I use this on such and such?"
And while we love answering your questions, we felt it was time to show you where best to use our products, this time being the Bar Keepers Friend MORE Spray & Foam.
This is our gentlest formula but is still a very tough product so always, ALWAYS test on a small area first and wipe or rinse thoroughly after use.
Follow instructions on product cover.
Stainless steel is a versatile surface used in many areas both inside and outside the house. Whether it be in your kitchen, bathroom, or the outdoor BBQ area, Bar Keepers Friend products have multiple uses.
ALWAYS test on a small area first. If you have a brushed stainless steel surface use the More Spray and clean in the direction of the grain.
When cleaning stainless steel we recommend starting with the MORE Spray, and then stepping up to the Soft Cleanser or even the powdered Cleanser if need be.
Note: The following instructions are for the MORE Spray only.
Instructions:
Step 1: Use a non-scratch pad/sponge (we recommend a light-grade pad) or a Scrub Daddy rinsed in warm water.
Step 2: Spray the foam directly onto the surface.
Step 3: Using the damp cleaning pad, lightly clean in small circles. The product is designed to quickly soften and lift stains, reducing the need for extremely hard scrubbing.
Step 4: Rinse thoroughly and well within a minute of application. Wipe the surface with a clean dry cloth.
The Bar Keepers Friend MORE Spray & Foam is great on traditional porcelain and ceramic, so it is perfect for toilets and bathroom sinks.
Remember the MORE Spray is our gentlest option, suitable for general and lighter stains. For tough jobs you may want to step up to the Soft Cleanser or even the powder.
Note: The following instructions are for the MORE Spray only.
Instructions:
Step 1: Spray a generous amount of MORE Spray directly onto the surface.
Step 2: Use a light-grade non-scratch pad or Scrub Daddy with warm water for best results. Scrub in small circles at a time, rather than the whole surface at once.
Step 3: Rinse thoroughly with water or a damp cloth. Dry the surface and buff up the shine with a clean a dry cloth.
Generally on chrome, we recommend the MORE Spray & Foam along with a light-grade pad or a Scrub Daddy for a gentle, non-scratch clean. Rinse thoroughly after cleaning, using warm water and a microfibre cloth or towel.
For those really tough jobs, you may want to step up to the Soft Cleanser, or even the powder used with a tough grade pad.
The following instructions are for the MORE Spray & Foam.
Instructions:
Step 1: Spray directly onto the chrome surface if possible, otherwise spray your damp cleaning pad or Scrub Daddy.
Step 2: Clean! Use a light-grade non-scratch pad or a Scrub Daddy with lukewarm water for best results.
Step 3: Rinse well, then use a clean, dry cloth to wipe down and shine the surface. Job done!
With any BKF products you should always test on a small area first, but this is especially important for splashbacks as they can be made and manufactured differently.
DO NOT use if any protective coating has been applied. Check with manufacturer if unsure.
Instructions:
Step 1: Dampen a non-scratch pad/sponge (we recommend a light-grade pad or microfibre cloth).
Step 2: Spray the product directly onto the surface, or onto the pad or sponge.
Step 3: Working in a small area at a time, rather than the whole area at once, start cleaning!
Step 4: Rinse well to ensure the solution is thoroughly removed. Wipe down and shine with a dry, soft, clean cloth.
When you think of aluminium, you probably only think of cans or tinfoil, when in fact there are many items made from aluminium. These include ladders and some mail-boxes, golf clubs, sinks, faucets, window frames, pots & pans, gates and car wheel rims.
Remember, Bar Keepers Friend products are powerful cleansers so always test on a small area first, even when using our most gentle More Spray. This is especially important when using on a new surface.
To start with we recommend trying the MORE Spray & Foam, as this is our gentlest option. For tougher jobs, you may want to step up to the Soft Cleanser or even our toughest product, the powdered Cleanser.
Please note: these instructions only apply to the MORE Spray & Foam.
Instructions:
Step 1: Spray the MORE Spray & Foam directly to the surface or on to your damp cleaning pad/sponge.
Step 2: Start scrubbing! A light-grade non-scratch pad or Scrub Daddy used with warmer water works well.
Step 3: Rinse thoroughly and dry with a clean, soft cloth to ensure any residue is removed.
Plastic showers are a bit of a mixed bag! The issue with plastic/perspex/acrylic shower doors is that in many cases, even the most gentle cloth or cleaning pad can cause harmful scratches!
We recommend starting with the gentlest form of Bar Keepers Friend, being the MORE Spray & Foam and light grade pad or Scrub Daddy. Move up to the Soft Cleanser if need be.
The MORE Spray is completely non-abrasive and would have nothing in it to cause damage, only question being if the surface build-up is too tough for the gentle option… as many are.
As always spot test in a small area first, rinse thoroughly and let dry to ensure you are happy before committing to the entire shower.
Instructions:
Step 1: Dampen a light-grade pad, Scrub Daddy, or microfibre cloth with water.
Step 2: Spray MORE Spray & Foam directly onto the surface or onto the pad/cloth being used.
Step 3: Clean in small circles at a time.
Step 4: Rinse well with plenty of water to ensure all residue is removed. Wipe dry with a clean towel or soft dry cloth.
Foggy or cloudy headlights not only look bad, but they are also dangerous. Not only do they reduce the amount of light coming through they also impact the scattering of the light which can cause glare for other drivers, so it is definitely important to make sure your headlights remain clean.
Instructions:
Step 1: Spray Bar Keepers Friend MORE Spray onto the headlights
Step 2: Clean in small circles on the headlights to buff clean.
Step 3: Rinse with a wet cloth or hose.
Step 4: Dry with a soft cloth or towel. Happy headlights!

]]>While we love answering your questions, we wanted to show you where best to use our products. This time let's look at the Soft Cleanser.
IMPORTANT NOTE: This is a step down from the powdered cleanser but is still a very tough cleaner, so always, ALWAYS test on a small area first before committing to anything larger. Wipe or rinse thoroughly after use and follow the instructions on the product cover.
Whether it's the kitchen bench, BBQ hood, or stainless steel pots and pans, the Soft Cleanser is great for those slightly tougher stains. Remember to test on a small area first.

Step 5: Rinse thoroughly with water or a clean damp cloth. Then dry with a clean cloth or towel.
Bar Keepers Friend Soft Cleanser is great on traditional porcelain and ceramic. Many toilets and basins are porcelain, meaning this is a must have for around the home!
For general and lighter stains you may want to try the MORE Spray & Foam before stepping up to the Soft Cleanser.
Instructions:
Step 1: Apply a generous amount of Soft Cleanser directly to the surface.
Step 2: Using a light-grade non-scratch pad or Scrub Daddy for best results, clean in a circular motion over a small area of the surface at a time.
Step 3: Rinse thoroughly with water or a wet cloth, then use a dry cloth or towel to finish.

Step 1: Apply a generous amount of Soft Cleanser directly to the surface.
Step 2: Start scrubbing! A light-grade non-scratch pad or Scrub Daddy will work well.
Step 3: Rinse thoroughly with water, then wipe down with a dry cloth.
Note: Got a tougher job? You may want to step up to the powdered Cleanser with a tough grade pad or Scrub Daddy. Check out our post on the Cleanser here.
With any BKF products you should always test on a small area first, but this is especially important for glass as it can be made and manufactured differently.
Instructions:
Step 1: Grab a non-scratch pad/sponge (we recommend a light-grade pad), rinse the pad in lukewarm water.
Step 2: Apply product directly onto the pad or sponge and start cleaning in small circles.
Step 3: Rinse the window thoroughly with water, then wipe down with a dry cloth.
If you’ve neglected your copperware, now is the time to show it some love with our Soft Cleanser.
Instructions:
Step 1: Grab a light grade non-scratch pad or sponge and rinse.
Step 2: Apply a generous amount of Soft Cleanser to the pad or sponge, or straight onto the surface if you prefer.
Step 3: Start cleaning! Work in a small area at a time until you've gone over the whole surface.
Step 4: Rinse thoroughly and wipe the surface down with a clean, dry cloth.
If that doesn't cut it you may want to step up to one of our powdered products, either the Cookware Cleanser and Polish or the general powdered Cleanser.
Chrome tapware, handlebars, and some outdoor furniture, chrome is probably more common than we realise!
Generally for this type of surface we would recommend the MORE Spray & Foam but for a bit tougher jobs you may want to step up to the Soft Cleanser (or even the powder).
Instructions:
Step 1: Apply a generous amount of Soft Cleanser directly to the surface.
Step 2: Start scrubbing! Use a light-grade non-scratch pad for best results.
Step 3: Give the surface a thorough rinse, and wipe down with a dry cloth.

Who doesn't love cuddling up next to the fire in a blanket on a cold winters day?
While fireplaces are cosy, they do require regular cleaning, not only for appearance, but also safety purposes.
Important Safety Tip: Glass doors will stay hot long after a fire is extinguished - always make sure the glass is cool to the touch prior to cleaning.
Instructions:
Step 1: Open the door and place newspaper or a trash bag underneath it. OR place newspaper or a trash bag on top of the fireplace. Remove the insert and place on top so any cleaning residue is collected.
Step 2: Use a damp cloth on the glass to remove any loose debris.
Step 3: Apply the Soft Cleanser to a damp sponge.
Step 4: Spread the product evenly around the glass surface.
Step 5: After 15-20 seconds, get scrubbing (we recommend Scrub Daddy or a light-grade pad).
Step 6: Wipe/rinse clean with a microfibre cloth or paper towels.
